Since we photographed our first wedding at the gorgeous Ettington Park Hotel, we’ve been back a few times. Sarah and Tom’s autumnal wedding in October 2010 was our first visit and their friends Jayne and Darren liked our work so much they decided to book us for their wedding in May.
It’s always gratifying to get what we call ‘referral’ work and in this case the ‘referral’ line goes right back to the wedding of Charlotte and Matt in May 2010.
Ettington Park is a venue we loved from the very first time we worked there and it’s a place we always look forward to returning to. However this time we saw a little more of the venue than on previous visits. Jayne and Darren’s civil service was held in the Library, followed by a Church of England blessing in the tiny chapel just across the lawn. This added a further dimension to an already impressive venue.
Following the blessing, everyone relaxed on the main lawn in the May sunshine while we got to work with the family group photos and the first of two photo sessions with the newly wed couple.
We’d like to thank Jayne and Darren again for inviting us to photograph their special day and also for keeping us fed and watered (especially the ham, egg and chips – perfect working food!).
Here’s a selection of images from the day.
