“The pictures look incredible and tell the story of the day so well.”
“Our wedding pictures are the best bit of the whole thing…given us amazing memories! Thank you”
Our first wedding of 2014 saw us start the season off in style at a popular Worcestershire venue which was new to us – Red House Barn in Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove – for the wedding of Stephanie and Mark.
Steph and Mark came to us after seeing the work we did for their friends Sarah and David, whose wedding we photographed back in 2011. Steph and her bridesmaids got ready at the refurbished Chateau Impney on the outskirts of Droitwich, and the large room provided an elegant and spacious backdrop for the morning’s preparations. Mark and his two best men David and Matthew got ready at Red House itself.
Following the civil ceremony – which took place in the elegant Redbrick Barn – came the drinks reception and then formal groups. We got through these very quickly and then took Mark and Steph off for their ‘couple’ session. This gave us the opportunity to explore Red House’s grounds and gardens. As it had been wet for much of the preceding week, Steph brought along her wellies in case the ground was too wet to walk on in her wedding shoes. Thankfully though, this wasn’t a problem, though she kept the wellies on regardless 🙂 As this was a March wedding, it got dark toward the end of the meal but we got the couple up between courses and did a few more pictures with them inside Redbrick Barn using the light from the setting sun.
Onto the speeches and following Steph’s dad and Mark, the best men David and Matthew set up their guitars and delivered their ‘speech’ in song. Very different and very funny! As we moved into the evening, magician Christian Fletcher provided the evening entertainment, amazing everyone with his tricks.
A huge thank-you to Steph and Mark for being such fun to work with. A lot of laughing was done at this wedding and it was an absolute pleasure to work on. 🙂
Before the evening party began, we got our previous clients Sarah and David out for a quick photo. 🙂
