“We love love love the slide show literally balling our eyes out you’ve done amazing job!”
Anna and Adam’s summer wedding saw us return to Alrewas Hayes in Staffordshire. The last time we were here was in 2015 for a reception (see Lucy and Adam’s blog post) so it was nice to return to and see the venue host a full wedding. Anna and Adam were one of the very first couples to book us for 2017 so we’d been looking forward to this one for nearly two years!
After both getting ready at their parents’ homes, the proceedings began at Alrewas Hayes. By the time Anna arrived the wind had really picked up and stayed that way for several hours. This was probably the windiest wedding we can remember! The civil ceremony took place in the ‘Gold Room’ – this is a really lovely feature of the venue with lots of natural light and is in contrast to the large permanent marquee used for the reception.
Both Anna and Adam keep horses so all the table names and even the cake reflected this. All of the flowers and table decorations were created by Amanda and Amy of Ava Event Styling so everything looked fabulous! One really nice little touch was the individual shots for each guest which acted as a table plan. Brilliant!
For the evening entertainment, the couple had a little surprise for their guests. After the first dance, the West End Jerseys took to the stage with their tribute act to the Franki Valli musical The Jersey Boys. Great singers and they kept the dancefloor full for ages – Adam even got up on stage and danced with them!
We wrapped up our day with a quick shot overlooking the Alrewas Hayes lake and then said our goodbyes. We absolutely loved working on Anna and Adam’s wedding – such a nice, fun couple with a huge circle and family and friends there to enjoy the day with them. Enjoy the pictures 🙂
