Wedding Photography at Alcott

Charlotte & Alex
at Feckenham Church & Alcott Farm

“They are wonderful pictures and my family have complimented them highly. I can’t wait to print some out. I especially love the ones with the bridesmaids walking up to the church and the ones with Monty the dog in. You have captured the flower girl beautifully too, and my Grandad, which was important to me andI love the slideshow you put together.”

Getting Ready

Alcott Weddings is situated on Alcott Farm in Alvechurch – just 15 minutes from where we live. It’s a beautiful lakeside meadow surrounded by rolling Worcestershire countryside and they offer a range of marquees, yurts and tipis.  We’ve seen some lovely new venues this year (new to us, that is) and when Charlotte and Alex’s wedding came along in May we were only too happy to add Alcott to the list!

Charlotte and her bridesmaids all got ready for the day at home while Alex and his groomsmen did their final preparations at Alcott, greeting many of the guests who were meeting and then heading off to church on an old red bus provided by Wythall Transport Museum.  They even issued tickets! :-)

Ceremony at Feckenham Church

Charlotte and Alex got married at St John The Baptist church in Feckenham.  It’s a beautiful parish church ticked away from the road and provides a lovely setting for a wedding.  The ceremony was conducted by Father Glenn Reading who was both friendly and welcoming as well as being a pleasure to work alongside.

We love seeing dogs at weddings and Monty not only travelled with Charlotte’s bridal party but also made an entrance for the ceremony itself!

Reception at Alcott Weddings & Events

With the ceremony complete it was time for the guests to get on the bus and head back to Alcott.  This was a bright, sunny afternoon with entertainment provided by The Goodfella singing old classics before the meal began inside the spacious tipi. Charlotte had put so much time and into carefully choosing the flowers and decor – and it really showed – the colour choices were just gorgeous.

Couple photo shoot at Alcott

Once the meal and speeches were wrapped up it was time to take Alex and Charlotte off for a photo shoot around the Alcott grounds.

Evening party

As the light started to fade it was time for the evening party to kick off.  Live band Amplifier provided the entertainment while outside there was street food to enjoy.

This was a beautiful wedding with a fantastic crowd of people and a lovely atmosphere from the morning arrivals right through to the sparklers.   A big thank you to Charlotte and Alex!
