The first of our July weddings took us to two local venues we’ve know quite well. Ali and Matt booked us about a year ago and had chosen Knowle Parish Church for their wedding service with the lovely Nuthurst Grange Country Hotel for the reception.
Their love of travel was evident through the entire day. A couple of years back they embarked on a year-long trip around the world and many of the guests at their wedding were people they had met along the way – their so-called ‘extra baggage’. Ali was taken to the church in an indian TukTuk (!), while their wedding breakfast room and tables were chock-a-block with references to their travels.
Although not quite as hot as some of the weddings we were to shoot later in July, this was still a very warm day so to keep the couple as comfortable as possible most of the ‘couple’ photos were taken in the gorgeous evening light. The evening was so nice, that the couple chose to do their choreographed First Dance outside – something we’ve only ever seen happen once before.
A big thank you to Ali and Matt for being such great fun to work with and for keeping us fed and watered!
