“Wow! They look amazing!
Thank you both so much – and again for everything you did on the day,
you really helped keep us organised and on time (ish!)”
Early in October we photographed a lovely wedding which saw us visit two venues we’d not previously worked at. Lucy and Adam had chosen Holy Trinity Roman Catholic church in Sutton Coldfield, followed by a reception at Alrewas Hayes in Staffordshire.
Holy Trinity RC church (not to be confused with Holy Trinity CofE church, also in Sutton Coldfield) is quite an imposing building from the outside, but the interior is bright and airy with a beautiful altar area at the end of the aisle.
Our past experiences with Roman Catholic churches have all been positive and Holy Trinity was no exception. The priests and other church staff not only provided a really personalised service, but were helpful, friendly and accommodating and a pleasure to work with. This was a wedding with mass, so quite a long service with communion towards the end.
With the service complete it was time to move onto the reception venue. Alrewas Hayes is a modern wedding venue built around the manor house of a working farm and is somewhere we’ve long wanted to work at. Mixing tended gardens with large areas of crops and trees there is ample scope for making some great pictures and the venue just runs very nicely indeed and the staff were great, especially event manager Emma who took time to give us a guided tour of the venue earlier in the week.
We had a brilliant day with Lucy and Adam and indeed their families and friends. We were even sat with the guests for the meal! A wonderfully warm and intimate wedding to work on.
Here’s a few pictures from the day, hope you like them.
