“We were overwhelmed by the photographs…. they are truly beautiful.
They have brought back so many precious and wonderful memories from our wedding day.
We could not have wished for a more beautiful way to celebrate and capture the essence of our day…. Thank you so much. “
August is always a busy month and this year was no exception. The first of our August 2017 weddings took us to Nuneaton in Warwickshire for the wedding of Sinéad and Nick.
This was one of those days where the weather just can’t make up its mind. After a slightly wet morning the rain began to get heavier just in time for everyone arriving at the church – Our Lady of All Angels in Nuneaton. This was a Roman Catholic service with mass and conducted by Fr Simon Hall. True to our previous experiences of Catholic churches we were made welcome and allowed to photograph the whole service with no restrictions.
With the church service complete we were expecting to walk out into continuing rain but instead we had the exact opposite – clear blue skies with dazzingly bright sunshine! Sinéad and Nick had around 90 guests buy many more friends and acquaintances from their church were able to attend the service so there were a a lot of hugs as everyone made their way outside. It’s always lovely to see this at weddings and it can provide some great candid moments for pictures.
After a few quick couple photos outside the church it was onto the reception, held at Ashton Lodge Country House, situated between Nuneaton and Rugby. Just as we started the family group pictures the skies went very dark and everyone ran inside to take cover as the torrential rain started, accompanied with thunder and lightning! Thankfully the skies cleared soon after and we then had some really lovely conditions for the remainder of the day. The light during the couple’s evening portrait session was just beautiful and we were able to really take advantage of it around the venue grounds.
Aside from her day job, Sinéad teaches Irish dancing and as a treat for the evening guests, we were all treated to a display from her friends and students. Amazingly intricate and blazingly fast (and extremely tricky to photograph!), the dancers put on a stunning display for everyone and Sinéad even managed to take part in her wedding dress!
This was such a lovely wedding to photograph. Sinéad and Nick were just the nicest couple to work with and they gave us plenty of time to indulge in ‘just a few more photos’. Thank you guys, we loved working with you. Enjoy the pictures.
