Clare & Andrew – Dorridge Methodist Church & Hogarths. Solihull
“Excellent photos we are absolutely delighted with them!”
Hogarth’s Hotel & Restaurant in Dorridge was one of the first wedding venues we ever worked at. We always enjoyed working there and over the years have returned for several weddings. In April, we returned there after a gap of over two years, for the wedding of Clare and Andrew.
This was a very local wedding, with both Andrew and Clare getting ready at their parents’ homes in Dorridge. They had chosen the local Dorridge Methodist Church for their wedding ceremony. Although not a particularly old building, it had plenty of space and light and more importantly, the very friendly and welcoming Revd. Tony Malcolm, who conducted the service with warmth and humour.
Following the ceremony, tea and cakes were served in the adjoining community hall. Due to the changeable weather at this point, Clare and Andrew left a little earlier than their guests so we could get the first of their ‘couple’ photo sessions done at Hogarths before the rain returned.
Hogarths has changed much since our first visit there back in 2007. The accommodation has been significantly expanded but the grounds are always well cared for and provide some great locations for pictures.
Clare and Andrew had very kindly sat us with their guests for the meal – something we never expect but are always very grateful for. It was also good to see Hogarth’s excellent reputation for food being upheld 🙂
Despite the few showers, much of the day was dry and fine, with the evening providing some really beautiful light conditions.
Following the start of the evening party and then Clare and Andrew’s first dance, we packed away the gear and said our goodbyes. This had been a busy but lovely wedding to work on and we’d like to thank the couple again for looking after us so well and being so easy to work with.
