“Love, love, love them! Thank you so much Rob and Sarah!”
As we reported on our last blog post, we recently did a pre-wedding shoot with Emma and Richard at Birmingham’s Moor St Station (blog post here). Their actual wedding took place a few minutes’ walk away at the Custard Factory – dubbed ‘Birmingham’s creative quarter’.
I met up with Emma at the Hotel du Vin in central Birmingham Emma had arranged for a gleaming white taxi to take her to the ceremony and I travelled along with them.
Although a mixed day in terms of weather, we struck lucky with timing. The ceremony, held in the bright, airy Old Library began just before the rain started to pour and the deluge continued for the duration of the drinks reception in the area opposite – ‘The Dome’. However, just as we took the couple off for photos alone the rain halted and we had some lovely light to work with.
Following drinks, everyone moved back into The Old Library for the meal and Richard’s speech. While the staff were turning around the room for the evening party, the ukulele band Moselele entertained the guests. Evening entertainment was provided by the excellent Candy Spangles & The Green Oyster Band.
Emma and Richard themselves put on a fantastic wedding, completely personalised and with a lovely atmosphere throughout the entire day. Thanks for being such fun to work with and for looking after us (the fish and chips were lovely!) 🙂
