As we continue through our May weddings, we come Diana and Lee, who got married at Hampton Manor in Solihull. It’s been some time since we’ve worked at this popular venue and this time we got to see a little more of it.
Once we arrived at Hampton there was no more driving to do, as all of the day’s events were to be held at the venue. Lee and Diana have made a life for themselves in Dubai, so they flew in a few days before the wedding for the final arrangements.
Diana’s dress was a true one-off – designed and made by her friend David Sprakes and his team.
The wedding ceremony was originally planned to be on the rear lawn but due to the weather, the plan was changed that morning to use The Birches ceremony room instead. The drinks reception was held in the main manor house and by this time the weather had settled so we were still able to get the formal groups done outside.
After taking Lee and Diana around the grounds for the photos of them alone, it was time for the meal and unlike our previous visits to Hampton Manor this was held in the Peel Restaurant . This smart, spacious and light room served as a lovely backdrop for the meal and speeches (and the food was lovely too). Following a turnaround of the room, the guests returned to the Peel Restaurant for the evening party, led by an excellent band.
With the wedding using different locations around the venue, we had a lovely variety of environments to work with. Although the rain kept threatening to return, we did manage to get Lee and Diana out for a great photo shoot with just the two of them in Hampton’s grounds. Fantastic to work with, the couple barely stopped laughing together through the entire session!
We’d like to thank Lee and Diana for looking after us on the day and for being such fun to work with. Hope you enjoy your pictures 🙂
