We come now to the last of our Mallory weddings for August 2011 – Dawn and Paul, who booked us earlier this year. We’ve worked at the superb Mallory Court every weekend during August, so we’ve become very familiar with the place! The weather forecast didn’t look promising and the rain duly began not long after we got started photographing the morning preparations and didn’t let up until well into the evening.
Although the advent of rain meant we were limited in some ways, it did mean we had the perfect opportunity to use some of the interior spaces of the main mansion building. Thankfully though, the rain held off a little in the evening so we were able to get Dawn and Paul out into Mallory’s extensive gardens. This is much more of an “inside” wedding than the other one’s we’ve published recently.
Unlike the other weddings we’ve photographed here this year, Dawn and Paul’s entire day was at at Mallory – all the preparations, the ceremony and the reception. Although it’s always nice to have different venues for a wedding, it’s comforting to know we don’t have to pack up and drive off somewhere when the rain is pummelling down!
Dawn and Paul’s day was extremely laid-back and with about 30 guests for the entire day, there was a quietness and intimacy which gave it a very different atmosphere to the other weddings we’ve worked on recently. It was an absolutely lovely wedding to work on and we’d like to extend a big thank-you to Dawn and Paul for ensuring we were kept fed and watered through the day, right through to the evening fireworks!
So here’s a selection of images from Dawn and Paul’s day. Hope you like them.
