“Wow. We are so over the moon with the preview. Thank you so much. Amazing work and day captured perfectly”
“The response from friends and family over the pictures has been amazing, you’ve moved most of them to tears!
Sean and I cannot thank you enough; we look at the pics and feel like we are back on the wedding day.
Thank you a million times over.”
We’ve had a busy summer season this year, photographing weddings at venues near and far, old and new. There are certain venues we always enjoy returning to and in August we returned to our favourite Avoncroft Museum for the wedding of Paula and Sean.
This was very much a local wedding, with Sean getting ready at the Bromsgrove Holiday Inn and Paula and her bridesmaids getting ready at the couple’s home in Droitwich. Both wedding service and reception though were at Avoncroft, which allowed the best use of time on this lovely Summer’s day.
Following the service and drinks, we got to work on the formal family group pictures before taking Paula and Sean off for a short photo session. This was quite a bright day so we opted to keep the afternoon session nice and short to allow Paula and Sean as much time with their guests as possible before the meal.
Avoncroft’s Guesten Hall had been decked out beautifully for the wedding breakfast, with the fantastic dried flowers forming the centrepiece for each table. The gorgeous food was provided by Colin and Debbie, of Complete Caterers.
Once the meal and speeches were finished, we started a tour of the museum grounds with Paula and Sean for their main ‘couple’ pictures. Although nothing at Avoncroft is particularly far away from anything else, a good portion of time is needed to make the most of the locations. Despite feet starting to ache, the couple were great sports and about 45 minutes later, we got them back to meet the evening guests as they started to arrive. The timing of the shoot could not have been better as we ventured out just as the evening light was at its best.
