Fusion Wedding at Pendrell Hall
Manprit & Matthew
“Matt and I just got back from our honeymoon today. We had a look at the photos and we absolutely love them!! Cannot wait to share them with the family! We knew you would do an amazing job!”
“We have had so many compliments and are constantly getting them for our photos album. What’s the saying “photos never really do it justice” this just doesn’t apply to Rob and Sarah. We love everything they have done and cannot thank them enough for helping us to remember a truly special day xxx”
‘Fusion weddings’ are where traditions from different cultures mix to create a blend unique to each couple. We’ve photographed a number of them over the years and they’re always interesting and fun to work on . Such was the wedding of Manprit and Matthew who got married with a mixture of Indian and English elements on a hot July day at Pendrell Hall in Staffordshire.
We’ve done so many weddings at Pendrell we’ve almost lost count, but we’ve never worked on one there with an outdoor ceremony. The area outdoor ceremonies take place in is largely protected from the sun during the summer (well, at least for the couple). It was a lovely ceremony, with Manprits bridesmaids and Matts ushers all making their entrance in pairs prior to the bride and her dad. Both the bride and groom party – and many of the guests – wore traditional Indian attire for the day, but for the evening party Manprit changed into a beautiful white wedding dress while Matt changed into a more traditional suit.
No wedding with Indian influences would be complete without dhol drums and as the evening party kicked off they escorted the bride and groom into the ballroom before the dancing started!
A really big thank you to Manprit and Matthew for asking us to photograph their day. Enjoy the pictures…
