“As soon as the presentation started we both knew we would love the photos. They had completely captured the relaxed, fun feel of the day which was so important to us. Formal photographs are nice in their own way but our focus was really on the candid shots – Rob and Sarah captured those brilliantly.”
Early in July we were back at in Staffordshire for a fantastic summer wedding with two very fun people at Pendrell Hall. ‘”Fun” was the over-riding feel to this wedding and Marianne and Sam had planned an uncluttered and simple day which allowed the “fun” to happen in abundance. The whole day at one venue, just the friends and family who were important to them, simple decoration and no fuss.
Sunflowers and heather were used sparingly but in just the right amounts to be effective and Marianne’s graphic-designer friend had created all of the place cards and table-plan. Simple and unfussy, but really effective. Marianne’s gorgeous dress was a bespoke designed by Zeynep Kartal.
When it came to their main portrait session in, Marianne and Sam had a beautiful Summer evening to enjoy around Pendrell’s grounds. I don’t think we’ve ever laughed quite so much during a photo session as we did with these two!
Evening entertainment was from the brilliant band Retrospect (who know how to pose for the camera, good-and-proper!) and I must say that Marianne and Sam’s first dance was actually less of a dance and more of Marianne staring in disbelief as Sam strutted around the dancefloor! 🙂
A wonderful wedding and lovely people. Hope you enjoy the photos…
