“Rob and Sarah photographed our wedding in September 2020, and were an absolute joy to work with. Given the year everyone’s had, they were so responsive and flexible to the situation we were in, to the point where we rearranged with 3 days notice and they just said ‘no problem!’. Our photos are beautiful, the package we picked suited everything we wanted, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Thank you both for providing us with beautiful memories of our special day.”
Covid Wedding Plans
Natalie and Tom’s original wedding date was in May and early into the pandemic lockdown they postponed, choosing a new date in October, hoping that everything would be back to normal by that point. However, as the Covid restrictions continued through the summer, they had made peace with the idea of limiting their wedding to 30 people. But then, in September, the government announced that wedding restrictions would be tightened, allowing just 15 people. For Natalie and Tom this meant that too many of their friends and family would be excluded, so they took action and with just a few days’ notice, they pulled out all the stops to change date again – to the last Sunday in September, just a day before the new restriction was to come into force. And to add, another one of our couples did exactly the same thing, but moved to the Saturday – so we went from months of having very little in the way of weddings to photograph, to two full-day weddings on the same weekend!
Small Wedding at Pendrell Hall
Natalie and Tom’s wedding was an absolute delight to photograph. A pleasantly-warm and sunny day with an outdoor ceremony at Pendrell Hall, with autumnal colours and lovely people. Everyone had to socially distance and remain in their ‘bubbles’ whilst inside – so guests remained seated during the drinks reception, but it was still a lovely atmosphere and it was great to see people not only eager to come to a wedding again, but to make the best of the situation and enjoy it as much as possible. The Pendrell Hall staff were all on point as usual and kept everything ticking over nicely whilst following the regulations.
What was especially great about Natalie and Tom’s wedding though, was the couple themselves. They totally embraced the restrictions and made the day the best it could possibly be. They were also complete naturals in front of the camera, so when the time came to take them around the grounds for photos, they just got on with enjoying themselves as we made the pictures.
A really big thank you Natalie and Tom. Enjoy the pictures.
