Shustoke Barn is a really popular wedding venue – and with good reason. It’s a lovely building, large enough to host a decent-sized wedding but small enough to feel intimate, it’s well-run and the food is great. We’d not been to Shustoke since 2015 so were looking forward to returning for the wedding of Sam and Craig.
Shustoke has no ‘getting ready’ facilities, but there are several locations nearby which are recommended by the venue. One such option is The Granary at Dove House Farm -a short drive away and really lovely location, with vaulted beams and plenty of space. It was here that Sam and her bridesmaids got ready for the day ahead.
It was nice to be back at Shustoke. The main barn makes for a great setting for a civil wedding ceremony with nice, directional light and a warm, rustic feel. As with our previous experience of the venue, Sam and Craig’s wedding was run with expert precision by Emma and her team. Held right at the end of September, the evening was darker than we had done earlier in the month, but we still got Sam and Craig out for photos in the waning light.
Sam and Craig’s wedding was a lovely, intimate wedding full of heart and with a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Lovely people all-round and a pleasure to photograph. Enjoy the pictures….
