Wethele Manor Summer Wedding
Sarah & Gareth
“What can we say?! There are no words..we’ve arrived back from honeymoon today and just sat and
watched the slideshow (3 times already!) and pretty much sobbed from start to finish.
You have captured our day beautifully and perfectly, and bought back all the emotion from the day – for that we cannot thank you enough!”

On a lovely warm Summer’s day in August we were back at Wethele Manor in Warwickshire for the wedding of Sarah and Gareth. We photographed our first wedding at this popular venue back in June (see Yasmin & Oliver’s wedding here), so it was nice to make a return visit after only a short period of time.
This time we got to see slightly different aspects of the venue. Sarah and her bridesmaids used two of Wethele’s guest rooms in which to get ready, but the main difference was the use of the beautiful outdoor space for the wedding ceremony itself.
Under English law, outdoor wedding ceremonies have to take place under a permanent structure. Wethele have really excelled themselves in this department as their oak Orchard Bothy is probably the best ceremony ‘structure’ we’ve seen.
Every wedding we see has its share of ‘moments’ and Sarah and Gareth’s was no exception. Sarah’s mum giving her a gift, the girls’ group hug just before they made their way out to the service, Gareth’s (happy) nerves and, the little ‘high five’ between bride’s dad and the groom. Just really lovely to see and to be able to capture.
The Summery feel of the outdoor service continued into the evening when Sarah and Gareth did their first dance outdoors, in the main courtyard, followed by the entire wedding party doing the Conga around the venue!
This was a lovely, heartfelt wedding to photograph and we’d like to thank both Sarah and Gareth for being just the nicest people to work with. Here’s just a small number of pictures from the day.
