A christening held at St John the Baptist Church Brinklow with reception party at Coombe Abbey, photographed by Robin
This christening took place at St John the Baptist Church in Brinklow, followed by a reception at Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire. After the ceremony, family and friends spent the rest of the day together celebrating and catching up. The day was photographed by Robin and covered for about and hour and half, so short, sweet and effective.
The family had the church to themselves for the christening service and the vicar helped explain the various parts of the ceremony to everyone there. Because this christening wasn’t part of a normal sunday service, it felt extra special and personal.
Following the ceremony, everyone made their way outside before heading over to nearby Coombe Abbey for the afternoon reception.
Having photographed a number of events at Coombe Abbey over the years, it’s a venue we know well. The christening party took place in the Stuart room and a small number of group photos of family and friends were taken in the courtyard outside. Simple and unfussy. The reception itself was relaxed and all about time spent together with family and friends with some nice food and a drink. Coombe Abbey is a large and busy hotel and hosts multiple events on any given day, but at no point did the reception feel part of a product line. It was a lovely and personalised way to wrap up this milestone family event.
