Wedding photography at Solihull Register Office

A small wedding at Solihull Register Office with couple photos in Brueton Park

This wedding was actually photographed back in 2014 — it felt like the right time to re-edit the pictures and get them back on the blog.

F&H’s wedding centred around family, many of whom had travelled from overseas. They’d planned their entire day in Solihull, with the legal ceremony at Solihull Register Office followed by an informal reception and blessing at the groom’s parents’ home nearby. This was a beautifully simple and intimate wedding.  If you’re planning something similar you can see more of our work across the Midlands and also see our special page all about register office weddings.

Solihull Register Office sits on the edge of the town’s main shopping area and is a popular choice for couples wanting a simple, personal legal ceremony — exactly what F&H had in mind. After the ceremony we headed to nearby Brueton Park for a couple shoot, a broad green space with a variety of settings that makes for a great backdrop.  The park is actually quite large and we were exploring it with the couple for about an hour.  A big thank you to F&H for being so great to work with, especially the bride who walked all that way around the park in heels!  Enjoy the pictures.

About Solihull Register Office

Solihull Register Office sits on Homer Road in the heart of Solihull town centre, a short walk from the shopping area, with a car park next door and easy access to bars, restaurants and hotels – making it a practical choice for couples who want to celebrate straight after the ceremony. The register office has a small garden at the front, which provides a spot for photographs immediately after the ceremony.

The register office has three rooms available for civil ceremonies, offering flexibility depending on the size of your guest list – the Statutory Room is for the simplest of weddings, with just the couple and witnesses.  The Jubilee Room can take up to 8 hours and the most popular option – the Ceremony Suite can host up to 58 guests.

The atmosphere is welcoming rather than formal — staff are consistently praised for making couples feel at ease, which makes a real difference on the day when nerves are running high.

One of the practical advantages of Solihull Register Office is its location relative to the expansive Brueton Park, which is just short distance away – a natural next stop after the ceremony for couple portraits in a green, relaxed setting before heading on to a reception.
