After what felt like just a little too long a gap, we were back at Gorcott Hall in August for the wedding of Chloe and Jason. This was an absolutely gorgeous summer’s day with a blue sky, and tons of sunshine and temperatures to match.
Chloe and Jason found us after seeing our previous work at the venue. They had planned a classic summer wedding with great style, but with elements that were a bit more home-grown. Jason’s mum made the impressive cake and the couple themselves created the table plan and stationery.
With temperatures up in the high 20’s even from mid-morning, this was going to be a hot one. Everyone was feeling the heat a little but Chloe and Jason had put out paper fans for everyone to use during the ceremony. But once the formal bit was complete and the drinks came out, Gorcott’s lush gardens provided some welcome shade. Gorcott is such a beautiful venue and it seems even more so on a sunny day like this.
As we moved from the speeches into the early evening, the light became a little softer and the heat a little gentler. We had a nice bit of time in which to take Chloe and Jason off for a photo tour before the evening light turned to dusk. We love the grounds at Gorcott – tended areas and parts which are left to grow little wilder – and of course the beautiful building itself. Such a lovely place in which to create pictures.
We loved Chloe and Jason’s wedding. It had all the (photo) elements that we love the most – lots of candid opportunities, a great couple who were up for lots of couple pictures and a beautiful location. Lovely stuff! A big thank you Chloe and Jason. Enjoy the pictures…
