In July we made a return to a local venue we’d not been to in nearly four years. Grafton Manor is a long-established wedding venue just outside Bromsgrove town centre and was the choice of Janet and Martin, who booked a few months prior.
Since our last visit, the venue has undergone a few changes. Some of the interiors of the main manor house have been renovated and there seemed to be more of the outlying garden areas to explore. The main change however is that the old chapel onto which the manor house was originally built, is now licensed for civil marriage services. Previously the legal aspect of weddings at Grafton Manor had to be undertaken in one of the rooms with the chapel being used only for religious blessings.
Janet and Martin’s wedding was relaxed and easy-going and they’d planned their day to give plenty of time for everyone to chat and enjoy themselves properly. It’s always lovely to see a wedding with the proper amount of ‘breathing room’ and from our perspective this meant a day rich in ‘candid’ photo opportunities and one that was a pleasure to work on. A lovely couple and a smashing day from start to finish. 🙂
