Photographers Robin & Sarah relaxing on holiday

We are a husband-and-wife team based in north Worcestershire.

We first photographed a wedding at Stanbrook Abbey in 2017 and found it to be an incredibly photogenic wedding venue that provides a stunning backdrop for weddings of different sizes, styles and ethnicities.  We have returned to Stanbrook several times and are on the official list for recommended Stanbrook Abbey wedding photographers.

About Stanbrook Abbey – Why we love this venue

The Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is located in Callow End near the town of Malvern in Worcestershire.  Parts of the building date from the 1700s when it was a private home, after which it was  expanded in a Victorian gothic revival style and became home to Benedictine nuns until its deconsecration in 2009. It was purchased and renovated by Hand Picked Hotels and is now a modern hotel, weddings and events venue, retaining the stunning original architecture and features.

Prepare for your wedding day in Bride’s Manor

The Bride’s Manor is a restored manor house connected to the main hotel via private indoor walkway. A really lovely place in which to get ready for your wedding, with lots of space and light and its own access driveway.  Bride’s Manor is great for us to photograph ‘getting ready’ because of the of space and photogenic qualities.

Groom’s Room

If the groom’s party are not getting ready in one of the hotel bedrooms, then The Groom’s Room is a great choice.  Located on the ground floor, off the cloister corridors and near the Callow Great Hall, the Grooms Room has plenty of space and natural light and is nicely decorated which always helps for getting great photos of the fellas preparing for the day.

Your wedding ceremony in Callow Great Hall

The Callow Great Hall was the former chapel of the abbey. An absolutely stunning setting for your wedding ceremony and a delight to photograph, with stained glass windows, original carved wooden pews and a beautiful tiled floor. This is one of the most iconic and photogenic ceremony locations in the entire county and we absolutely love working there. Licensed for civil wedding ceremonies with a max capacity of 250 people.

Wedding receptions in St Anne’s Hall and gardens

St Anne’s Hall is where wedding receptions take place, with its own gardens, terraced area and the Library Bar and easy access to the wider grounds.  St Anne’s is situated in an adjacent building to the main hotel for privacy, but is connected via internal walkways for convenience.

From a photo perspective, this is a great location for photos your afternoon drinks reception with plenty of space for group photos and the beautiful backdrop of the venue’s main tower.

Blessings and larger receptions in Garden Pavilion Marquee

Located adjacent to St Annes Hall is the Garden Pavilion marquee.  This is an ideal space for a larger wedding reception, blessing or religious wedding ceremony.  The marquee has plenty of light and we find it works really well from a photography perspective.

Couple photos in the buildings and grounds

The huge range of photo spots offered by Stanbrook Abbey make it a stunning backdrop for your wedding.  Beautifully maintained gardens and grounds, a mixture of modern and vintage architecture and of course the iconic backdrop of the arched cloister corridors all help make Stanbrook Abbey one of the most photogenic wedding venues in Worcestershire.  It’s a venue we could photograph in all day long and never get tired of.  An absolutely beautiful setting and one we very much enjoy working in.

Experience & versatility

From simple elopements to huge celebrations, our versatility and ability to work with different environments and situations has been honed over many years.  With more than 400 weddings under our belt, we’ve photographed weddings at every type of venue imaginable, including several at Stanbrook Abbey in different areas of the venue.

Honesty, empathy & authenticity

Anticipation and nerves, the emotion of the ceremony, quiet seconds of reflection, friends catching up or everyone rocking out on the dancefloor.  Weddings are interesting as they are so we don’t believe in faking, staging or dominating the day.  Creating an honest narrative of real interactions and moments is the fundamental approach that all of our work is based upon and especially enjoyable at a venue such as Stanbrook Abbey with it’s picturesque interior and gardens.

A style for couples who just want to enjoy their day

Our wedding photography is a balance of documentary-style moments, gorgeous portraits, exquisite details and a limited number of formal groups.  You can focus on having a fantastic day with your favourite people, knowing that your memories will be documented by photographers who get along well with your guests and have the confidence to get things done.
