It’s been about two years since we were last at Hogarths, but in May we were back at this very popular Solihull venue for the wedding of Kate and Torg, who booked us only a few months ago.

This was a beautiful day – the sun was out and the temperatures up so the guests were able to stay outside for much of the time. Kate and Torg’s civil ceremony took place on The Island and even though legally the service has to take place under a permanent structure, Hogarths have a lovely little building there which opens so it has more of a feel of an outdoor wedding.

Very often at weddings we end up bumping into other suppliers who we’ve met before. Kate and her bridesmaids had Georgina from Beauty At Home to do their makeup. We’ve met Georgina many times over the years and she’s always easy to work around and is always highly recommended by the brides who hire her. Also at Kate and Torg’s wedding we met Dan Greenaway, a singer/songwriter who played and sang both during the wedding ceremony and most of the reception, taking requests from guests rather than working from a list. Kevin from Music Wedding Videos was also there to record a ‘Marryoke’ video and managed to be both discreet and entertaining at the same time!

A great couple and crowd and a lovely venue – with weather to match. A cracking day all-round really! A big thank you to Kate and Torg :-)
