August is always a busy month for weddings and this year was no different. The first of two weddings we photographed over one August weekend took us to familiar territory. Dani and Joe got marred at Olton Friary and New Hall Hotel.

We always have a bit of a soft spot for Olton Friary – it was the first church we ever photographed a wedding at (back in 2007!) and we’ve returned there many times over the years. As with just about every other Roman Catholic church we’ve worked at, we’re always made welcome by the priest and staff and we always come back with lovely pictures.

We’d not been to New Hall Hotel since 2011 but very little has changed since our last visit – and that’s a good thing. The building and gardens are still gorgeous and beautifully maintained and the staff are great. One of those venues we always enjoy returning to.

We did most of Dani and Joe’s couple photos during the evening but with the light fading it was time for their first dance. A a final couple of photos with them under New Hall’s avenue of trees rounded off what had been a hugely enjoyable day with them. Enjoy the pictures…
