“We can honestly say that having Rob and Sarah Gilespie photographers on our special day was the best decision we made. This most special and momentous celebration was captured in the most encompassing fashion; catching not only those photos posed but the natural and relaxed images of ourselves, family, friends and guests enjoying our day. Despite the weather being gloomy, this was utilised to enhance our special day through quirkiness, sense of humour and good fun!!! Simply amazing!”

Our final wedding in August took us to Gloucestershire. Rebecca and Craig met us at one at a wedding fair we attended in back in 2013 and we got on well with them right from the start.
Their wedding took place at St Mary’s Prior Church in Deerhurst (usually known as Deerhurst Church) just outside Tewkesbury. The building dates from Anglo-Saxon times and lies some distance from the main road in an idyllic spot on the banks of the river Severn. Surrounded by towering trees it really was a beautiful setting for a wedding.
The reception was held at Puckrup Hall just a few miles away. It’s the older part of the Hilton Puckrup hotel and itself a lovely building with numerous photo opportunities inside and out.
Typical for a British Bank Holiday, the weather decided to be uncooperative and we had grey, drizzly conditions for much of the day, but Becky and Craig didn’t let it spoil their plans. With a few umbrellas and a bit of rain-dodging the day moved along nicely and the crowd and atmosphere were just lovely to work with. A special mention must be given to the two drivers from Satin & Lace Wedding Cars who provided umbrella cover during the post-service hugs and helped carrying bags – their help really was appreciated!
Becky and Craig were just two of the nicest and most down-to-earth people we’ve ever worked with and we’d like to thank them again for not only inviting us to record their day but also sitting us with their guests and making us feel like part of the celebrations. Enjoy the pictures…
