Spring Grove House Autumn Wedding

Philippa and Chris’ wedding was held in early in October and was a stylish affair with a lovely splash of autumnal colour.  For us this was a very welcome and overdue return to Spring Grove House.

The wedding ceremony was held at St Peter’s church in Pedmore, near Stourbridge.  It’s a lovely old church just off the main road and with a beautiful lychgate which had been decorated by the flower supplier, Floral Roundabout.

The wedding reception was held at Spring Grove House, located in the middle of the West Midlands Safari Park. It’s such a rich environment – both the interior and exterior the house provide plenty of photo opportunities but we also had time to take the couple around the grounds.  And of course no wedding there would be complete without a visit to the carousel and the animal encounter!

It was really lovely to be back at Spring Grove House.  Aside from the surroundings, the staff – especially the toastmaster – were absolutely superb and kept us informed and updated when the schedule had to be tweaked at the last minute.  It’s little things like this that can really make a difference to what we’re able to photograph for the couple as we can adjust our plans and make the best use of time.  This is especially important for weddings at this time of the year when we have to be more conscious of the limited daylight.
