Chloe and Simon’s gorgeous summer wedding was a very local one for us as wedding photographers in Worcestershire – just a couple of villages away from where we live. They got married at St Leonard’s church in the tiny Worcestershire village of Clent with the reception a short distance away at Belbroughton Church Hall.

We’d been really looking forward to photographing this wedding ever since the couple booked us about a year prior. It had been a while since we’ve had an opportunity to photograph a ‘village hall’ wedding – they have a unique feel to them which you just don’t get in a larger, more traditional wedding venue – a bit more home-made and homely. Chloe and Simon’s choice of suppliers – all based in the Midlands – reflected this also and the result was a day bursting with love, life, fun….. and good food :-)
This was (mostly) a fine summer’s day and really rather warm with exceptionally bright afternoon light as everyone exited the church. Although it clouded over a bit in the evening we still had lovely conditions for Chloe and Simon’s main ‘couple’ shoot in nearby fields. They were initially a bit apprehensive about their ‘couple’ photos – but they needn’t of worried. “Just be yourselves“, we said. And so they did. Safe to say that we all had a bit of a laugh out in the fields that evening and it really shows in the photos :-)
