Hanbury Church & Redhouse Barn Wedding
Alex & Andy
“In a word, wow!! We are totally blown away by how amazing these pictures are.
You’ve captured the day so well and all the emotion behind it. We will treasure these pictures always.
Thank you for all the hard work that went into making these. We are beyond thrilled with them.”
In September we made a return visit to a church and venue we’d not seen in quite some time. Alex and Andy’s wedding took place at St Mary The Virgin Church in Hanbury, followed by a reception at Redhouse Barn, just outside Bromsgrove.
Hanbury Church feels so familiar it really did not feel like five years since our last visit. The vicar changes every time but little else does :-) It’s a really nice setting for a wedding, on top of the hill overlooking the Worcestershire countryside.
The last time we photographed a wedding at Redhouse Barn was early 2014. It’s a smashing venue, run with lots of enthusiasm. The owners always seem to make an effort to really make the day feel special for the couple and of course the barn itself and surroundings are lovely. And special mention must be made of the food – it really is superb!
Despite very mixed weather (including a thunderstorm just as the bride arrived at the church!), Alex and Andy’s day was a lovely, low-key affair. For the vast majority of the day we were working in documentary mode as the couple’s priority was to capture the wedding party enjoying the proceedings, with a few quick ‘couple’ pictures slipped in at various points of the day. It’s always great to be able to concentrate on the interactions between people at weddings, after all that really is the most important part of what we do and Alex and Andy’s day provided many such opportunities. A smashing wedding and a lovely couple. Enjoy the pictures.
