“Thank you so much for everything. We honestly couldn’t have dreamt of better photos to remember our day.”

We love working at new venues – or at least venues that are new to us. The Barn at Dinhtill has been hosting weddings for only a short time but it was exactly the choice place for Rebecca and Alan who fell in love with the place as soon as they saw it. They booked us about a year prior to their October date and had planned a fun, relaxed day with a minimum of fuss.
Civil wedding ceremony at Kidderminster Town Hall
The formal part of the day took place at the Kidderminster Town Hall. Although the exterior of the 19th century building was covered in scaffolding at the time, the interior looked wonderful. The town hall actually offers three different rooms for civil wedding ceremonies – all with their own atmosphere and able to host weddings large or small. Although Rebecca and Alan’s wedding party wasn’t huge, they opted for the largest space in the town hall – The Music Room, which can host over 300 people.
The Barn at Dinthill Wedding Reception
In contrast to the centre of Kidderminster, Rebecca and Alan’s wedding reception was held in the rolling hills of the Worcestershire countryside. The Barn at Dinthill, situated close to Tenbury Wells is family owned and run by John and Moira Roberts and they describe it as an “Informal wedding venue on a beautiful, rural, country farm.” – and it didn’t disappoint. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the barn itself is unassuming and simple, but with all the required facilities. It even has on-site accommodation, with the Gypsy Wagon, Bell Tent and Wood View Lodges all available and just a few steps from the main barn – and if you want to bring your own camper van – that’s fine too! Catering for Rebecca and Alan’s day was provided by Free Range Pies, who provided not only some lovely nibbles for the drinks reception, but pie and mash for the main wedding meal!

Wedding Photographers at The Barn at Dinthill
We really liked The Barn at Dinthill. Robin visited the venue the previous week – as we always try to do for venues we’ve never worked at before. Here he met the owner Moira who was super-friendly and helpful. It’s a place that does everything it needs to do as an informal wedding venue but with the added bonus of the surroundings which are a mixture of working farm and beautifully photogenic rolling hills and fields.
Rebecca and Alan’s day was lovely to photograph – a smashing couple who were a bit unsure about their ‘couple’ photos but then proceeded to laugh with each other through the entire time we had them alone – perfect! A really nice crowd of people and just a terrific day all-round really. Enjoy the photos!
