Wethele Manor Reception
“Dear Rob & Sarah, thank you both so much for the absolutely incredible photos you took on our special day; they completely surpassed what we thought possible!
On the day you said it was “just physics” but the way you used light and composed the photos is quite extraordinary – you have given us something incredible to look back on for many years to come.
Love, Ali & Faye x”
It had been perhaps just a little too long since our last visit to Wethele Manor. When we photographed our first two weddings there in 2015 it instantly became one of our favourite venues and we’ve been looking forward to going back ever since. The house, the marquee and the surrounding grounds are all lovely, but it’s really the staff that makes Wethele work so well. Friendly, accommodating and exceptionally cool under time pressure, Duncan and his team always make weddings at Wethele enjoyable to work on.
Faye and Alistair booked us just over a year before their big day. They had seen our demo album at Wethele , got in touch and secured their booking all on the same day. We like decisive people! :-)
Both the bride’s and the groom’s party got ready for the day at the venue – with Faye in one of the poolside chalets and Alistair in the main house. Although the day started with bright sunshine, by the time the party got the church the rain had taken hold and continued on and off for most of the afternoon.
The ceremony took place at St Giles church in Packwood, about 30 mins or so from Wethele. It’s a beautiful old church, tucked away out of sight from the road and run with warmth and friendliness by Revd Marc Catley. We had a very luck break in the weather immediately after the ceremony so there was time for plenty of hugs and confetti before the heavens opened again! And although the rain continued unabated for the remainder of the afternoon, we did – thankfully – get Ali and Faye out on their own during the evening, following the speeches.
In the end, the rain didn’t matter one bit. Ali and Faye’s wedding had a fantastic atmosphere – from the preps right through to the ceilidh in the evening. We loved every minute of it :-)
