Bromsgrove Wedding Photographer

Wedding photography in our home town

We are Worcestershire wedding photographers based in Bromsgrove – this is our home town and has been for more than a decade.

We chose Bromsgrove for our own wedding in 2011, at Avoncroft Museum in Stoke Heath, and we’ve been photographing weddings in and around the area ever since. Over eighteen years and more than 400 weddings, we’ve worked at virtually every wedding venue in and around Bromsgrove, from grand country houses to village halls, open-air ceremonies to traditional church weddings.

Wedding venues in Bromsgrove

Avoncroft Museum

Avoncroft is a very special venue for us – it’s where we got married, and it’s a venue we’ve returned to photograph many times since. A museum of historic buildings set on the outskirts of Bromsgrove in Stoke Heath, it offers some of the most distinctive photo opportunities of any venue in Worcestershire.

Brockencote Hall

A country house hotel set in acres of grounds in the village of Chaddesley Corbett, Brockencote is one of the more upmarket venues in the area. The lake, dovecote and mature trees give it some beautiful photo opportunities. We’ve photographed several weddings here and know the building and grounds well.

Bromsgrove Registration Office

The Registration Office is part of the Parkside complex in the heart of town – a handsome red-brick building with its own courtyard that works well for smaller, more intimate civil ceremonies. We’ve covered several weddings here, with ceremony and photos taking place here and then other parts of the day happening elsewhere.

Hagley Hall

One of the most striking venues in the Bromsgrove area, Hagley Hall is a Grade I listed Palladian country house set in its own grounds on the edge of Hagley village. Each of the main reception rooms has its own character – high ceilings, grand proportions and a different look and feel – and the grounds offer plenty of variety for couple portraits. We’ve worked here and found the staff friendly and well-organised, which always makes a difference. A genuinely impressive venue that we’d love to return to.

Grafton Manor

A secluded country house estate situated just south of Bromsgrove town centre, Grafton Manor sits in its own gardens and grounds with a distinctly tucked-away feel. The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies in the John Morris Hall, a deconsecrated former chapel which forms part of the original estate, and the gardens offer a variety of backdrops for couple portraits.

Hogarths Stone Manor

Located on the A448 between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster, Stone Manor has been a wedding venue for many years. The venue was taken over by Hogarths in 2015 and thoroughly renovated. Licensed for civil ceremonies, it works well for weddings of all sizes, from intimate gatherings through to larger celebrations. The various rooms each have their own feel and character, which gives good variety for indoor photography on winter or wet-weather days.

Redhouse Barn

One of the most popular exclusive-use venues in the Bromsgrove area, Redhouse Barn is a renovated barn set in the village of Stoke Heath, licensed for civil ceremonies and with a well-earned reputation for food and a genuinely enthusiastic team. The barn itself and the surrounding grounds give plenty of photographic variety.

Churches

Church weddings make up a significant part of our Bromsgrove work. We’ve photographed at many of the churches in and around the town.

Further afield in the Bromsgrove district

The Bromsgrove district covers a wide area and we work across all of it — including Alvechurch, Barnt Green, Hagley, Rubery and the villages in between. If you’re getting married anywhere in the district and don’t see your location mentioned here, just get in touch.

Photo locations around Bromsgrove

Located part-way between Birmingham and Worcester, Bromsgrove is a busy town, but situated in a more rustic location away from the city sprawl and surrounded by countryside.  Many of the local wedding venues have beautiful grounds which we love working in.  In addition, Bromsgrove has many fantastic locations which are public-accessible and make for great photo spots for weddings and engagement shoots.

The Lickey Hills are our first choice for most outdoor shoots. We’ve spent countless hours up there over the years – it’s where we used to walk our dogs – so we know the spots that work in every season and at every time of day. The mix of open heathland, woodland and hilltop views gives a lot of variety in a small area, and on a clear day the views stretch for miles.

Tardebigge offers something completely different. The canal lock flight – one of the longest in the country – has a calm, unhurried quality that works beautifully for relaxed couple portraits and the towpath setting feels a world away from anything urban.

The surrounding countryside – fields, farm tracks, old woodland – gives us plenty of other options depending on the time of year and what a couple is looking for.

About Us

That’s us on our wedding day at Avoncroft in 2011. The two dogs are Pippa and Bella — both sadly gone now,.

We’re based in Catshill, just a short drive away from Bromsgrove town centre, and have been photographing weddings professionally since 2007. When you book us, you’re booking us – not an associate or third party – and we’ll be there to support you from the first ‘hello’ through to final delivery and beyond.
