“Time has been a blur so we’ve not had the chance to say thank you for how great you both were on the day, making us feel super comfortable. Thank you so much for our photos we love them!!!
Sacha & Liam at
St Botolph’s Newbold-on-Avon &
Coombe Abbey, Warwickshire
Sacha and Liam booked us after seeing our previous work at their chosen venue Theirs was a fantastic summer wedding held on a warm day in May, with the ceremony at St Botolph’s church in Newbold-on-Avon and the reception at Coombe Abbey.
Wedding ceremony at St Botolph’s church Newbold-on-Avon
St Botolph’s is a rather lovely church dating from the 14th century. It’s situated in the suburb of Newbold-on-Avon on the north edge of Rugby and both Sacha and Liam got ready for the day nearby. The church’s vicar Rev Paul Wilkinson was very welcoming and the ceremony wasn’t without a nice dose of humour. Once the ceremony was complete everyone congratulated the couple in the the dazzling afternoon sunshine before a confetti throw as the the couple left for the reception.
Wedding reception at Coombe Abbey
After arriving in Sacha’s dad’s silver taxi it was time for drinks on the terrace at Coombe Abbey. We’ve worked at Coombe Abbey many times over the years on weddings large, small and in-between and this time it was on the larger side with 115 guests. For weddings of this size, the venue’s marquee is used for the meal but of course there’s always access to grounds and wider public parkland for photos. As usual for our summer weddings, we did a short photo session with Sacha and Liam in the afternoon and then a longer, more relaxed one after the meal and speeches and before the evening party kicked off.
A really big thank-you to Sacha and Liam for asking us to photograph their day. We got on really well with them and loved their fun energy during the photo shoots. A great wedding to photograph. Enjoy the photos…
